Rock Auto has very attractive prices but they must be buying manufactures 2nd quality items. I used Rock Auto exclusively since Parts Geek started using ONTRAC delivery instead of UPS. Big mistake. They shipped me previously returned defective parts, parts ordered in pairs that had the same part number and fit but were different, even though they were major label (Moog, Beck Arnley) items. Over the past severals years Rock Auto parts quality has diminished. Constantly having to send back parts that are incorrect, faulty or generally I get stuck with the parts Due to the return policy. Returning to advance auto, NAPA, or amazon for more of my parts. When figuring everything out those places are just as cheap and better overall service than rock auto.

Paid for a part and shipping, RockAuto made a mistake and stopped shipment, then blamed Fedex, Having contracts with Fedex, My commercial account rep at Fedex was able to determine the problem was on RockAuto's end. Even though the part was returned without delivery to me, they still insisted on waiting 10 days to "Inspect" the part, which IF damaged would be an issue between them and the shipper, since it never made it to me. I ordered some struts for a Hyundai santa fe. After 4 month's the driver side strut broke. The bracket that holds the sway bar link broke off.right at the weld. Called rockauto. They said it was only covered by the manufacturer warranty. I had to pay for shipping. (45.00 bucks) . Then one month later passenger side broke. Ordered an exhaust kit for a Buick Rendezvous from Rock Auto but they sent me the wrong one. I had to take time away from my day to pack it back up and drop it off at FedEx. Turns out they had the wrong one listed for the price I paid which was $155.99. They said it should have been $240.79. They did not want to honor the price. Ordered a Denso fuel pump. Specifically avoided cheaper pumps, such as Walbro, based on 30 years personal experience. Received a Walbro pump in a Denso box. Mario at Rock Auto claimed that he called Denso and relayed to me that Denso sanctions this type of part substitution. I contacted Denso America and Denso Japan and they tell me that Mario lied. In the past year I have gotten parts that have failed within 1 year of use! Junk parts. They also sent the wrong parts twice now. I am done with them. I will pay more elsewhere and get good parts that are correct. It would be different if they did something about it but they won't even reply to my emails!

I am going through a divorce with my wife and found out about a day late that she placed an order with my cc info for some parts on her lincoln ls 2005 (registered to her name). Not worth the headache if you need a refund. They do NOT view the customer as central to the business. I asked for a refund. Now, I have no refund because it is a store credit. even after I said I am NEVER going to do business with these charlatans again. I will only buy parts from a store that I can walk into.
