Rockauto - STAY AWAY!!

I purchased a kit containing front and rear pads and rotors for my girlfriends vehicle. Within 3 months one of the pads had worn down to metal. I had her email the company as i was unable to at that moment amd they do not have a customer service number to call. While sue was doing this I found a place on their website to request replacement warranty parts. Before i could complete the process she forwarded me the response from them stating wear isnt covered, only defects in workmanship. Seeing as the wear that occured in less than 90 days was this extreme (and not a result of a frozen caliper) id call that a defect in workmanship. After she forwarded me that email i went back to where i had been on their site and now tue pads said they were not returnable and i couldnt even request warranty pads at that point. So without that option i purchased new pads to replace the junk centric brand pads that wore down so quickly. I filed a complaint with the wisconsin better business bureau stating i had alresdy purchased new pads and asoed for a refund of the cost of the new pads. The companys response was a joke. They first stated that my girlfriend had emailed them and that i had been on their retirns page so they "werent sure" why she was also contacting them. I never contacted them for one amd for two its none of their business why. Then they went on to state they werent sure why their associate told her they couldnt facilitate a return but that i could now go and request pads. Thatd be great if i hadnt already purchased new pads and even told them id already done so! I rejected that offer and attached a photo of the pads and told them the entire reason i bought new pads was because they told me i couldnt get replacements which is why i asked for replacements. Their reply? "We direct him to our initial response, this concludes our correspondence with him". So my advice is that if you do order you better hope you dont have any product issues. Otherwise youre pretty mich screwed!

Perhaps you needed to look further? One pad wearing out only is usually a bad component. Rockauto has always been a great place to order from.

I agree, is a bad component entirely. This is what they refused to cover even though it was within the 90 day period that they made it a point to mention.

They only offered to cover it after I had already mentioned that I had resolved the issue.

It wasnt my first order with them and previous experiences had been great but also involved no after order support. That ruined it for me.

Rockauto - Never received a refund on returned item

Ordered 300 dollars worth of parts and got 1 set of wrong brake pads that did not fit my car, returned the item and never got a refund. Trying to reach a customer service rep is almost impossible.

Rockauto in Milton, Wisconsin - Pissed off customer

I ordered a door switch for my vehicle and was sent the wrong part. I went online to do a return and they want me to pay to have the part returned! Why would I pay to return a wrong part they sent me? My order was for the correct part. Can't call as they don't have a customer assistance line. Will never order from them again. Would not recommend Wtf them to anyone. Wtf Wtf
