Rockauto - DHL delivery sucks

I got an email that My parts were delivered. Some L Simpson signed for it. I don't know who L Simpson is or where They live.. So, where are My parts??? I will never use DHL delivery service as They obviously incapable of delivering to the correct address. I saw Them in the little van go racing by.... Now I get confirmation it's been delivered and NOT HERE!!!!

Details
In the process of restoring my 2003 Cadillac SLS I was unable to find the radiator and catalytic converter for my car at any of the local parts stores and the dealer price was extremely high to say the least. To sum things up I was able to get the parts I needed at a reasonable price hipped directly to the repair shop in a reasonable amount of time. Unless I have a must have right away item i now buy all my parts from THE ROCK. I can't think of a better way to shop for parts. The customer service is great as well. once i locate the part I need I call to confirm that i've located the correct item and processing is easy.

I ordered a complete brake kit and they sent me the wrong brake pads. The company was unprofessional and wanted me to pay to return the part. He told me I have to take pictures and send them to him. I told him i bought the part and installed it on the car I am not going to do your job for you. They have wrong part numbers for vehicles and expect you to pay for their mistake. When I went to ship it back the shipping cost was just as much as buying the item so I send back just the brake pads. Buyer beware I will not do business with them again. Now come to find out the item I shipped they have no record of and I did not receive a refund.

Details
Ordered rotors and they were the wrong size. called customer service and they refunded them but would not pay for shipping because they said I ordered the wrong size rotor because there ate 2 sizes available, now I have been around a while but when they start telling me that I made the mistake and I need to learn how to use the website I was done. One pissed off customer will never buy from them again. The bad part about all this is that this was the second item on this order that was wrong. The shipping was fine it was just talking to the customer service reps, they do not care one bit about you or your order one bit

The parts I ordered were delivered to a post office 100 miles from my home and there has been no shipping updates on how the part is now going to be delivered to me. The Rockauto website indicates I must wait two weeks before checking back with them on the delivery status. This is totally unacceptable both from Rockauto and the DHL carrier. I would expect better customer service and you can't speak with a real person when you have a problem. The next step is to cancel the order and have my credit card company back charge rockauto for the order. I am done doing business with rockauto.

As it seems,I am not alone. I too dealt with Adam B. at Rockauto. I too came away feeling totally pissed. I had trouble installing a new Cardone distributor that I had purchased at Rockauto. After many attempts to install, I inspected and measured the new unit very closely. It seemed functionally identical, as much as it wasnt a motorcraft distributor, it looked like it was the same in all the right places. Except for the fact that where the oil pump shaft enters the bottom of the distributor, the recess was just as deep, but the Cardone unit, the hex was only cut halfway into the recess. The motorcraft distributor, the hex was cut all the way in. The end result was the distributor dropped right in, but stopped 1/8" short of where it should. I wanted someone at Rockauto to pull another unit off the shelf to tell me if this was a defect or how Cardone manufactures their distributors. I even gave Adam B. my phone number and asked for a return call. I was told that "they have no parts" and that I was to "self serve" on the website. Needless to say this generated a very colorful response to Adam B. and I never heard another peep from him again. Now thats customer service!... I processed a return and a week later, when the replacement distributor arrived...Guess what? That is how Cardone makes em! So now my truck has been sitting for two weeks while I "self serve myself". My next email will be to the CEO, although, I figure ole Adam B. is probably following orders. Needless to say my parts purchases for my personal vehicles, as well as my business vehicles will be evaporating for Rockauto. A little customer service goes a very long way, and Rockauto may learn that some day, but until then, my local Advance Auto Parts has filled my needs for years, and saving a few bucks on Rockauto becomes meaningless when one has equipment gathering dust while I "self serve" myself.

I thought i placed an order because all my information was taken, including cc number. The automated system did not give me an order number. I called their two bogus cs numbers, it just keeps you going around in circles, no human person to speak with.

Try to install parts after several weeks and realized I order the wrong parts. Try to set up exchange on line but it wont let me because is over 30 days. After an hour of trying to get a human on the phone the customer representative tells me to sell them on Craigslist! Wow! What was I thinking when I though they were a great company. Rock Auto is now dead to me, don't deserve my business or money for that matter. I used to tell other people how good they were but not anymore. I will absolutely tell others this is the worst customer service I have ever encounter.
