RockAuto sucks

I made an order with them and after two days I noticed the order had the wrong engine listed, My truck was not available with the engine they said i selected. After contacting them i was told it was all my fault and their website was perfect. The rep. was extremely rude and not willing to do anything. He said i could not return the item because i made a mistake and that was not a reason for a refund. I have owned my truck for 12 years, i think i know what engine it has. Now i will have to sell this item on craigslist and take a loss for their mistake. this company is a complete rip_off and should be avoided like the plague.

I've purchased a part for 140 dollars from an overseas branch of Rock auto the part was wrong it cost me $100 to send it back and I can not get reimbursed for one nickel from them I have been referring a lot of my customers to purchase parts from them now I'll just pay the extra money and have them purchase it from Autozone or Napa they never give me a hard time about returns so I can let you know about us RockAuto *** I will not purchase one thing from them they are a ripoff when it comes to return police's

I ordered a new AC Compressor that RockAuto stated "May Looks different but will work the same as OEM" Well I received the part and it does not fit or work the same. I called them and they were very condescending and unwilling to admit their foot notes that caused us to order were in-correct. They wanted us to pay shipping both ways for their mistake. Their customer service after the sale is the worst I have ever experienced. One may think you are getting a better deal but after you pay shipping both ways for their mistake...not a good deal at all just bad service from a bad company that does not stand behind their mistake and make it right. STAY AWAY!!!!

Rockauto review in Visalia, California: Rock Auto Customer Service is Horrible

I purchased a radiator motor for my 2004 Jeep liberty I wasn't informed by Rock Auto there were two different motors. I installed the motor. I noticed the Connecting plug was different. This motor never turned on. I contacted Rock Auto they issued an RMA, I mentioned the motor had been installed they cancelled the RMA. There was no physical or visible indication the motor had been installed. I'm not trying to rip anybody off, I wanted to send this motor back and pay the difference for the correct motor. They claimed they would throw away the motor I guarantee they resold the motor kept my money.

Fedex Lost shipment - Rockauto Refuses to be responsible.

I have ordered from Rockauto for years, no issues.On a recent $110 purchase my shipment was lost by fedex - per tracking they left the package at my front door. Rockauto refuses to be responsible. They have a bunch of rude customer service personnel(probably teens), who seems to imply I was lying, adding " if we add shipment insurance on all purchases, we Rockauto cannot offer these prices". The nerve to say that to any customer. Though they offer competitive prices, there are other places to get good prices on parts. I always compare many sites before ordering from them. I done with Rockauto.

This just happened to me...they tell me to talk to FedEx...FedEx tells me to talk to them...meanwhile they delivered my parts to an address that does not exist but claim it was delivered to the address given.

I order a splash guard for my car and got sent the completely wrong part. Got ahold of customer service and the guy told me there was a 30 day return policy.ok i can understand that. But my delima is was involed in a car accident and never opened the box cuz the accident. Got ahold of customer service total *** about it.

Rockauto review in San Diego, California: CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH CONSUMER

I recently ordered a gas tank P/N SPC F26D and received in good condition, however the order states it comes with installation hardware P/N LO26D which when received the sealed bag that contained the installation hardware was shipped already opened and parts missing out of the bag i.e. immediately noted were 2 bolts out of 4, copper soldering ends for extending tubes. When contacted the customer service for assistance and to state my issue. They immediately offered me $20.00 refund to buy needed hardware at my local auto parts store, however when researching the P/N LO26D the amount was twice as much (39.99 + tax) as offered refund leaving me out $20.00 out of my pocket (when I already paid for a complete tank with install kit included) to buy an complete installation kit to install tank. The worst part was the overall customer service and their offered options. Since I was very happy with the gas tank (and that I have it already) the easiest solution and request were to send me an un-opened P/N LO26D or the simplest and less hassle were to up the refund to $40.00 (and I will spend the money for tax) to purchase install kit. And to top it off I spoke with the "Manager" and she argued with me stating that they cannot increase the amount of refund. The only option is for me to except the $20.00 refund, keep the tank and lose out on $20.00 (plus tax) for the install hardware or return the entire gas tank (which I already stated I am happy with) with package kit of contents of remaining install hardware back to ROCKAUTO so they can re-ship another gas tank with a complete install hardware????? WHY......Why put the consumer through this hassle of repacking, shipping, and WAITING for anther gas tank (again when it is already here!!!) or the same tank with hopefully an up-opened bag of a complete install hardware kit. When the simple and easiest solution were to send me an un-opened P/N LO26D or the less hassle of all were to up the refund to $40.00 (and I will spend the money for tax) to purchase install kit and still have the gas tank here ready to install.

Bad company. Do not use. takes them over a week to ship under 200 miles. ship wrong part and have no concern about effects on customer. Rude customer service people. PLEASE AVOID! Will try and rip you off. Be sure item in box is what you ordered and is new, not some cheap imitation. Can not trust them, even when you are talking to customer service. Go else where for your parts. Will not work with you when it is their fault. always get a different person, unable to talk with same person. Please do not use. Not a good business. Does not care about customer.
