Shipping non information

Im a return customer for rock auto and have been satisfied with the parts Ive received, but this time Im not happy about the shipping time.

They had an estimated delivery time that keeps getting pushed farther out and I have a vehicle that I need to be done now not next week. But they will say its the shippers fault not them. They could have warned me that fed ex is not reliable anymore.

Not allowed to return fault part

I ordered a starter from you (33294**** 12/28/2025 Shipped $114.69) for my 1956 Chevy truck that has a 1964 Chevy motor in it. The starter was garbage; it was making a loud screeching noise and turning slowly.

It was the correct starter for the motor I have installed in the 1956 truck. My warranty was totally rejected, and I was not allowed any recourse because the year of the truck wasn't a match, even though the starter was the correct one. I took the starter to my local repair place; he showed me the armature was 0.40 out of round, the tail shaft housing was drilled incorrectly, and it had an oversized armature in it. It has knocked out both bushings and was total garbage.

It cost me $237.50 and two weeks' time plus labor for your mistake. This was no fault of mine; I ordered and paid in good faith.

It was the correct starter for my application. I and many others I know have ordered lots of parts from you, but apparently, it will be better to go elsewhere in the future.

Missing parts

I had bought strut mounts for my car, which was supposed to come with nuts, bearing, and washers.

One of the two mounts came with all of the hardware, but the other one did not. I had issued for a replacement to get what was described, and for what I had paid for.

But the replacement they sent was also missing the hardware.

I tried to issue another replacement, but the website had said that since I had multiple defective products, that they were uncomfortable sending me another one. The only brightside is that I got a refund for the one strut mount.

I would honestly rather be sent the correct thing, especially after describing what was wrong the first time.

My guess is that they have room temp IQ individuals packing the products and dealing with the replacements, cause how else can you mess up on the same thing twice?

I paid $300 for parts and $100 for next day delivery. They returned half the parts for no reason, and now will not even offer a reimbursement, refund, or in-store credit! And there is no one to chat with, call, or email to fix this issue.

I paid for expedited shipping and it was supposed to be delivered the next day. It was to be delivered by FedEx, and now it's being delivered by UPS and will not be delivered until December 22nd!

RockAuto has a “Check Order Status” lookup function where you check your order status by providing your email address or phone number and order number.

Go to the missing order on the “Orders Status & Returns” page. Select “Arrange a Return/ Report a Problem”. Report the package as either “Missing Part” or “Package Not Received”. You will be asked some questions to clarify the issue.
